Not what you think...

After 6 days in the UK, it is safe to say I am not moving here. Thank God they sent me on a preliminary trip to see if I'd like it, because I don't. Not that it wasn't nice for a visit, but 3 to 6 months would seem unbearable! The shopping would also be amazing if everything wasn't so bloody expensive. So, for all those of you who were balling over my impending move, not to worry, I am staying at home!

hi my little frenchcanadian princess!
i'm sorry you didn't have the best trip to the UK, turns out some things shouldn't be tried on for size and you just have to dive into them head first... if they don't fit, you learn from the experience what will fit.

matt and i have been here in japon for 5 years. it's really not a place that we like living or would choose to stay permanently but living in a place that we're don't like so much has allowed us to find out what we really like and what we really want. so we sat down and looked at a map of the world. not everyone has the chance that we have: to choose exactly where you want to live for a long long time. to choose where to settle down from anywhere on the planet. we narrowed down our choices, mulled over it for some time, then decided that BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA sounded just right for us. that's where you'll find us from next january. we leave japan this december and will travel for a month before we arrive in our new home, kat in one hand and arms wrapped around each other in triumph! (sounds cheesy but we've been aiming for Australia for about 3 years and it's finally happening).

you'll have to come visit us there. though be warned, matt's grandma just told me today that all the young people she met that went there for a visit ended up moving there!

i hope you're settling back into urban montreal and that you haven't lost your taste for adventure and travel!

much much much love to you,
EM-XOXO-

ps: i know i could've written this in an email but it was more fun to post it on your blog!
